Description
The destruction of the temple of Athena on the Acropolis by Lord Elgin and Byron's subsequent accusation as expressed in his poems The Curse of Minerva and Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, is the main theme of this book which also includes texts by English travellers and officers as well as other personalities of Greek literature such as Al.
