This marvelous piece of work contains 21 documents highlighting the Greek state’s first attempt to restore the Acropolis to its previous glory including among other efforts, the return of the Parthenon sculptures removed by Lord Elgin.
The publication is presented in a perfect replica of the original General State Archive folder and contains the 21 documents adroitly replicated using the method of facsimile reproduction. Within the folder there is also a volume offering an academic analysis of the various documents and their significance.
